Growing up in an Italian family, I was always surrounded by amazing food. However, nothing could have prepared me for the delicious cuisine I experienced when I studied abroad in Italy last semester. I lived with a host family so I was spoiled with good food everyday by my host mom! I still haven't tried anything that compares to her green peas!<br />
<br />
I picked 11 dishes that remind me of all the amazing meals I ate over the four months I was there, including a pea recipe that I can't wait to try out. As my host mom would say — buon appetito!<br />
<br />
Homemade Pasta Dough: This is a basic pasta recipe which can be used for noodles, lasagna, etc.<br />
<br />
On the Side Peas: Serve these peas with lamb.<br />
<br />
Tomato, Basil, French Mozzarella & Prosciutto Panini: You can substitute hummus or black olive tapenade for the Roasted Red Bell Pepper Tapenade in this great, grilled sandwich recipe.<br />
<br />
Pasta Primavera with Caramelized Onions: Why not treat the family to an Italian dinner tonight<br />
<br />
Caprese Salad: This simple Italian salad combines refreshing ingredients to make a wonderfully light appetizer.<br />
<br />
Lemon-Anise Biscotti: A Sicilian specialty, this recipe produces a relatively hard biscuit -- perfect with an afternoon cup of coffee.<br />
<br />
Spaghetti Ala Putanesca: You can either serve the flavorful sauce over the bed of spaghetti or mix it in well.<br />
<br />
Baked Clams: Baked clams have become a standard in the Italian-American restaurant repertoire. So standard, in fact, that they have become something of a cliche and are usually represented by frozen, mass-produced little clods of garlic-flavored bread crumbs and rubber bands. Here is how the dish is properly done.<br />
<br />
Zucchini Penne: Every year, I try to find new ways to eat zucchini and this recipe is a definite winner!<br />
<br />
Chicken & Gnocchi in Pesto Sauce: One night I was getting ready to make dinner and I asked my son Zack what I should make. He said, why don't you saute the chicken, cut it up, make some gnocchi and mix it all together. The rest is history! I added the spices and the last thing was the pesto. It really brought it all together. It's fabulous!<br />
<br />
Tiramisu: Wolfgang PuckIt’s easy to understand why tiramisu is Italy’s most popular dessert — not just on Columbus Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 9, but year-round. When you’ve got one dishthat combines the flavors of chocolate and espresso coffee with sugar, light spongy ladyfinger cookies, and tangy-creamy mascarpone cheese, how can you possibly go wrong?<br />

One small step for Bitcoin, one medium-sized leap for eBay.<br />
Starting on Feb. 10, the UK section of the online marketplace will
open a "virtual currency" category within its classified ads for the
listing of Bitcoin, as well as its various offshoots — Coinyes, dogecoins and others that have emerged.<br />
<div class="see-also">
<br /></div>
Customers will be able to put up listings for virtual cturrencies and
conceivably offer them as forms of payment in outside transactions.
Purchases through eBay will still need to be in a government-issued
currency.<br />
“To promote a trustworthy marketplace and ensure compliance with
applicable regulations, eBay is currently updating its Currency Policy,"
an eBay spokesperson told <em>Mashable</em> in an email. "The updated
policy will clarify that listings for Bitcoin and other similar virtual
currencies must be listed in the Virtual Currency Category in the
Classified Ad format."<br />
The virtual currency category is expected to be available on the UK site by Feb. 10, the spokesperson added. <br />
<a href="http://cryptocoinupdates.com/ebay-loophole-allows-sale-of-bitcoin/" target="_blank">Exchanges</a>
of virtual currencies through physical items — such as USB sticks or
external hard drives — have taken place on eBay before. The new category
will provide some legitimacy to the offerings and create an informal
market for virtual currencies, albeit a very inefficient one.<br />
The eBay spokesperson said that the company would only allow the
deals in classified ad formats; the actual transactions would take place
outside of eBay. <a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="this-means-no-auctions"></a><span class="microcontent" data-description="This means no auctions or price-fixed offerings." data-fragment="this-means-no-auctions" data-micro="1">This means no auctions or price-fixed offerings.</span>
<br />
The site bills its classified ads as "a great way to list items,
services, or properties for sale without creating an auction-style or
fixed price listing."<br />
The move by eBay is another step in the creep of virtual currencies, particularly Bitcoin, into mainstream online markets. <br />
The Sacramento Kings now accept bitcoins, as does Overstock.com. Growing acceptance has boosted the value of bitcoins, by the far the most widely accepted and valuable virtual currency.<br />

Groupon has acquired ideeli, a flash fashion sales site, for $43 million in cash.<br />
The acquisition, which was <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140113005986/en/Groupon-Accelerates-Fashion-Presence-Acquisition-Ideeli#.UtPxUGRDsX6" target="_blank">announced</a> on Monday, is intended to expand Groupon's fashion offerings and bolster ties with brands in this space.<br />
<div class="see-also">

“Ideeli extends our fashion presence and brings great relationships
with many of the top brands in apparel," Groupon CEO Eric Lefkofksy said
in a statement. "Our customers have a demonstrated appetite for these
offers, and by broadening our reach in this space Groupon is even better
positioned as the place you start when you want to do or buy just about
anything, anytime, anywhere.”<br />
The acquisition appears to be a less-than-desirable outcome for
ideeli and its investors. The startup had received more than $100
million in venture funding to date. In fact, the company had raised $12
million just last summer, but was said to be struggling to bring in
additional funds.<br />

It's that time again when everyone makes a few bold predictions for the year to come. This year, Google's executive chairman Eric Schmidt is joining in on the fun.<br />
In an interview with <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/video/ask-a-billionaire-eric-schmidt-s-2014-predictions-pmV~qd7qTeipbjKx6_wW1Q.html" target="_blank">Bloomberg TV</a>
about 2014 trends, Schmidt highlighted the growing importance of big
data for businesses and the rise of personal genetics. But the key
trend, according to Schmidt, boils down to one word: mobile.<br />
<span class="microcontent" data-description=""The trend has been that mobile was winning. It's now won,"" data-fragment="the-trend-has-been" data-micro="1">"The trend has been that mobile was winning. It's now won,"</span>
he said in the interview. "There are more tablets and phones being sold
than personal computers. People are moving to this new architecture
very fast." For that reason, he believes we will see a "new generation
of applications" emerge to fill changing needs for entertainment, social
networking and more. <br />
Even Schmidt, though, isn't always the best at spotting technology
changes coming down the road. In the video, he admitted once again that
he completely missed the boat on social media while he was CEO at
Google.<br />
"At Google, the biggest mistake I made was not anticipating the rise
of the social networking phenomenon," Schmidt said. "Not a mistake we're
going to make again. I guess in our defense we were busy working on
many other things, but we should have been in that area and I take
responsibility for that." <br />

The unemployment rate in the U.S. has been steadily declining since a high of <a href="http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000" target="_blank">10% in 2009</a>,
but it still hasn't reached the lows seen in the early years of the
millennium. At 7% as of November, things are certainly getting better,
but they are slow coming.<br /><br />With a high unemployment rate, you're doing well just to have a job. But how can you land a <em>good</em>, or better yet, your ideal one? According to <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/joannarileyweidenmiller" target="_blank">Joanna Weidenmiller</a>, cofounder of <a href="http://job.1-page.com/en-US/" target="_blank">1-Page</a>, a job proposal platform, the answer is simple: go on the offense.<br /><br />Instead
of sending in a resume in response to a job description, Weidenmiller's
platform allows you access to research relevant to companies looking to
hire. The goal for the job seeker is to find a market problem and come
up with a solution that will give the company a competitive edge.<br /><br />"A
resume begs a company to find a problem," says Weidenmiller. "A company
can say, 'Oh you didn't do that!' Instead, a proposal says this is what
I can do for you and if you say no, that's great. I'll go to your
competition because I'm the one with the goods. I'm the one that has the
ability that you need."<br /><br />The idea, based on a<a href="http://www.amazon.com/The-One-Page-Proposal-Business-Persuasive/dp/0060988606" target="_blank"> New York Times best seller</a> written by Weidenmiller's cofounder <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/pub/patrick-g-riley/4/14b/b2" target="_blank">Pat Riley</a>, is to put the ball back in the job seeker's court. To do so, Weidenmiller and Riley had to do their research.</div>

By sheer numbers, 2013 was the biggest year for Internet IPOs since
the height of the dot-com era in 2000, though the amount raised was far
less, according to one researcher.<br />
<a href="http://www.birinyi.com/" target="_blank">Birinyi Associates</a>
reports that 26 Internet and social media companies went public in
2013, raising a total of $5.39 billion. If you invested in all 26, you
would have enjoyed a 77.84% return on your investment. That compares to
about a 40% ROI for Nasdaq.<br />
Largely thanks to Facebook,
the aggregate figure for Internet IPOs in 2012 was higher: $18.3
billion. However, just 17 such offerings existed that year. While you
would have to trace back 13 years to find a comparable year for number
of Internet IPOs this year, the dot-com era produced a much larger crop.
In 2000, 89 companies went public, raising $9.58 billion. In 1999, that
number was more than twice as high — 188 — which only raised $15.86
billion, still less than what was raised last year.<br />

Aiming to add new members who received Apple TVs, Chromecasts or tablets over the holidays, Netflix has cut its streaming price to $6.99 for new members.<br />
The deal, accessible via <a href="https://signup.netflix.com/payment" target="_blank">Netflix's signup page</a>,
lets you watch Netflix on one screen at a time. The two-screen option
is $7.99, the price charged for the streaming-only service since 2011,
when the company initiated a controversial program to separate streaming
from its DVD-by-mail service. <br />
<br />
Netflix reps could not be reached for comment on the new pricing.
It's not clear whether current members can "downgrade" to the lower-cost

The company traditionally sees a big bump in new subscribers in the
fourth quarter, when consumers buy new devices with which they can
stream the service. In the fourth quarter of 2012, Netflix added 2 million subscribers, double the previous quarter.<br />

Ryan Seacrest is notorious for having his hands in just about
everything these days, so it's no surprise he's now eying the tech
industry. <br />
The <em>American Idol</em> host and serial reality TV producer, who is known for using both an iPhone
and BlackBerry device, invested $1 million in the Typo Keyboard, an
iPhone accessory that aims to make typing a lot easier. The case snaps
on to the top of an iPhone and turns the touchscreen keypad into one
that resembles the BlackBerry's qwerty keyboard.<br />
<div class="see-also">

<a name='more'></a></div>
The Typo Keyboard ($99) targets for those who carry two phones: one
for typing and correspondence and an iPhone for most everything else.
The concept makes sense for BlackBerry lovers who have resisted
switching to the iPhone because of loyalty to the qwerty keyboard.<br />
"One night, Ryan and his friend Laurence Hallier, CEO of Show Media,
were out to dinner and both had phones on the table. Two people, four
phones!," the press release says. "They looked at each other and thought
there was an easy solution to the problem, a keyboard for the iPhone." <br />
The Typo Keyboard, which works when Bluetooth is enabled, adds less than 1 inch to the iPhone's length. <br />
Although the concept isn't entirely new — companies such as BoxWave
and Dobi have dabbled in the space — but Seacrest and his business
partner said the solutions on the market fell short of what they could
be to make typing as easy as possible.<br />

Microsoft is
working with the FBI to stop malware responsible for infecting more than
2 million computers as a part of an effort to steal dollars from online
advertising companies.<br />
The company's digital crime unit said on Friday it has "successfully
disrupted" rampant malware called the Sirefef botnet — also known as
ZeroAccess — which recently targeted search results on sites such as
Google, Bing and Yahoo search engines. <br />
<div class="see-also">

ZeroAccess malware affects devices running Windows by hijacking
search results and downloading malicious malware onto infected systems.
It directed each of its almost two million infected computers to click
on as many as 48 ads an hour, but even though it wasn't true human
traffic, advertisers were paying fees for fake clicks. Microsoft said
the attack is estimated to cost online advertisers $2.7 million each
month. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
"Today’s action is expected to significantly disrupt the botnet’s
operation, increasing the cost and risk for cybercriminals to continue
doing business and preventing victims’ computers from committing
fraudulent schemes," Microsoft said in a statement.<br />
In addition to teaming up with the FBI, Microsoft is also working
with the agency's European counterpart European Cybercrime Centre (EC3).</div>

Google is one step closer to unveiling its own Nexus-branded set-top box for streaming videos and playing games, according to a new report.<br />
The set-top box, which streams video from services such as Hulu and Netflix will run on Android, and could be available as early as the first half of 2014, <em>The Information</em> reported Friday.<br />
<br />
The tech publication is not the first to speculate on a set-top streaming device from Google. Months ago, <em>The Wall Street Journal</em> reported
that Google showed off a prototype device in January at the Consumer
Electronics Show in Vegas. The device reportedly had a motion sensor
similar to Xbox's Kinect technology, and also supported Google Hangouts
for video conferencing. <br />
The idea that Google may soon join the battle for streaming set-top
devices is not entirely surprising. The recent success of Netflix shows,
including <em>Orange Is the New Black</em>
and House of Cards, confirmed that viewers don't mind streaming their
favorite shows. Traditional television is now just one of many ways
people are consuming content. <br />
A Nexus TV would face stiff competition from more established set-top devices such as Apple TV and Roku. Other tech companies like Intel and Amazon are reportedly building their own devices, as well. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
This won't even be Google's first foray into television streaming. The company already has Chromecast,
a small HDMI plug-in that looks like a memory stick for streaming
content to the television. Chromecast requires users to have a mobile
device or computer with a Chrome browser in order to operate. <br />
A Nexus TV would likely be much more expansive than Chromecast, and
would not require external devices to operate, although reports claim it
could be operated using an Android mobile device.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
This is a long due blog – due to the winner among
the two and more so to my friends who are still hunting for a soul mate
and are considering/using matrimony website(s) as one of their Stairways
to Heaven.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Shaadi.com (henceforth referred to
as Shaadi) and BharatMatrimony.com (henceforth referred to as BM) are
the two largest matrimony websites in India. I do not have first-hand
knowledge about JeevanSaathi.com or other websites. Before I jump into
the comparison, I would like to dwell into when one finds his/her way
into matrimonial websites, the dangers/prejudices it holds and where and
when it works.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Philosophy and reality of matrimony websites<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Matrimonial
websites are rarely the first option for partner seekers, but they are
good, and over the years, they have been very successful in getting the
right match, and in some cases, an acceptable compromise. In my case, it
didn’t give the solution in the end, but I learned well about Shaadi
and BM and have a reasonable idea which one would give a good success
rate for which type of people. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
So, let’s start with general sphere of influence of these matrimony websites. They are: </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<u>Effective for</u></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<ol>
<li>Agarwals,
Jains, Maheshwaris and the likes – basically big castes with a good
array of mates to choose from. Also effective for Brahmins who are
flexible with Brahmin sub-castes.</li>
<li>Where marriage must happen within the caste – do or die, billionaire or blind.</li>
<li><span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Doctors and Chartered Accountants, who prefer partners from same profession.</li>
<li>Professionals seeking a professional partner without bias for caste.</li>
<li>Bohras/Muslims/Christians/Jews
– a small array to choose from, so either you find it or you don’t, but
at least you don’t waste your time.</li>
<li>Beautiful girls – I am not
being sexist about it, but they will get many proposals, no matter what,
as most guys would sacrifice many other parameters to have a beautiful
wife.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<u>Not very effective for</u>:<u><o:p></o:p></u></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
</div>
<ol>
<li> Boys
from Banswara – I mean guys small towns or cities. I found that a lot
of families/girls have preconceived negative notions about not marrying
into a family from a small place, even though the guy is working in a
big city or outside India. The same notion isn’t reserved for girls from
smaller cities, as they will be move into the bigger city family after
the marriage.</li>
<li> Seekers from small castes or sections, who are flexible to look out.</li>
<li> Run-of-the-mill (read <i>too many available</i>) engineers and management professionals.</li>
<li> Professionally successful women beyond the socially accepted marriageable age.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Needless to say – above isn’t a rulebook, but should have a good 80-20 or 70-30 applicability.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Psychology when using such websites<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Psychologically,
one looks for more superior partners on matrimony websites than what
one would be looking for within one’s comfort zone of caste or city.
This happens because:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt;">
As
I said before, a matrimony website is hardly a first option. Generally,
we search within the caste, then through near or far relatives or
friends. Then we start looking out of the caste into other acceptable
(usually ‘higher’) castes within our city/region. At some point,
especially these days, parents also ask the son/daughter whether they
like or love someone from a good caste (same level or higher). When all
frontiers are lost, a half-hearted registration to these websites is
made.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt;">
Now, my search criteria was as follows (and I think the MUSTs apply in general to a large set of people):<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
1.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Good character/soft and good nature. (MUST)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
2.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Good family. (MUST)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
3.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Good education. (MUST)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
4.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Average-good looks. (MUST)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
5.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Preferably working, otherwise a housewife, but definitely not very career-oriented. (MUST)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
6.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Interested in spirituality. (WANT)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
7.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>Very beautiful. (WANT)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
8.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>From a very educated family with parent(s) having a reputable job/profession. (WANT)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
9.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span>From a place preferably closer to, or at least easily to reach from, Banswara. (WANT)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt;">
But
when one looks at matrimony websites, the confidence that these
criteria (especially 1, 2) are actually met is low, for there is a
chance of misunderstanding, or even worse, cheating. And therefore, we
look for and would accept far better partners from matrimony websites
than we would within our own castes or region.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The
proof of the pudding was seen in the proposals I sent and received on
BM. I hardly liked the ones I received and I was rejected or not
responded to by the ones I proposed.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>The comparison, finally…<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Now coming to the comparison, I will do it categorically: <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
1.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>The name</i>:
When it comes to the name, Shaadi is clearly a winner, for shaadi in
Hindi means marriage. In mind, it sounds like the obvious choice. BM’s
name has a bit of a hybrid touch. “What is in a name”, they say, but it
is for nothing but the name that Shaadi is the biggest matrimony
website! <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
2.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Fee</i>:<i> </i>Both
websites allow you to look for partners with a free login. But to get
contact info, one has to pay. Both are expensive, at least costing above
2k for 3 months (minimum registration period), but BM was slightly
cheaper than Shaadi when I registered.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
3.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Login and ease of handling</i>:
BM is easier to use compared to Shaadi. The login to Shaadi is a bit
cumbersome and it opens as a pop-up window where tabs cannot be managed,
whereas BM works in normal window, where multiple tabs can be opened.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
4.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Search</i>:
The search function in both websites is effective – with enough options
of age, height, religion/caste, region, salary etc. to choose from.
However, looking at the search results, I always felt that BM offers you
a better array of results than Shaadi – this might have something to do
with appearances.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
5.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Appearances</i>:
Appearance-wise, BM is far superior to Shaadi. Apart from browsing and
tabs-management, the profile and photos look far cleaner and better in
BM. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
6.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Details: </i>Shaadi
is horrendously ineffective when it comes to partner details. It is
rather strange, for Shaadi profiles are usually uploaded with support
from their executives and after their review, whereas BM profiles are
developed individually and only some things such as photos are screened
before display. BM lets you give as much details about yourself as you
like in an organized form (Personal Info, Occupational Info, Religious
Beliefs, Hobbies etc.) and at the same time, it lets you share your
expectations from life partner in an organized way. Shaadi, on the other
hand, is less detailed and doesn’t have an option for describing your
options except in the Comments section. In fact, Shaadi by default won’t
reveal the person’s name and you are lucky if it is given in Comments
section. BM doesn’t have such illogical issues.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
7.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Horoscope match</i>:
Provided you and the searched result have both put the required details
of birth date/time and place, the website will auto-calculate the
horoscope match and display it just below the profile ID.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
8.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Contact info and contact</i>:
Here again, BM is very effective. You can either dig the person’s phone
no. or you can send a message without knowing their email ID. For your
account type, you have a certain limit on messages or phone numbers,
which is reasonable. In case of Shaadi, they are still living in the
stone age. They will mail you the contact info rather than email it, and
even then, they will mostly forget or take too much time to respond.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
9.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Expressing interest</i>:
BM offers a good range of choice here, including phone number, text
messages and voice messages. If the user is online, you can also do a
text chat. Shaadi on the other hand only gives you the contact info
after long chasing. <o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
10.<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span><i>Customer support</i>:
BM’s customer support is very good. They called me a day after I
created my paid profile to inform my about my benefits. Shaadi on the
other hand is seemingly full of ineffective conmen. Even after my
repeated requests of sending the profiles on my email rather than my
mailbox, they didn’t respond and it took 2 personal visits from my
sister to resolve the issue.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;">

If you download the update to the regular eBay iPad app, you will notice
a new icon on the bottom left-hand side of the screen that says "Watch
with eBay". Honestly, the experience as a #SecondScreen app or
otherwise is disappointing. While the registration process is rather
simple (your ZIP code, your provider), many of the channels in the
channel line-up (I use AT&T U-verse) are missing and the items
offered for the channels that do exist are only based on the title of
the program (not the contents)--they are not even based on the
descriptive metadata of the title itself (ie the summary of the Seinfeld
episode, etc). There is no audio fingerprinting (recognition) like you
find in IntoNow and no apparent presence of audio watermarking--nothing
to tell the iPad what channel or episode you are watching (you have to
type it in).<br />
<br />
<div>
</div>
<div>
- Simple. It does not allow control of the 1st screen in any way what
so ever. In fact, the use of the app itself is not "simple" either.
You tell it what channel you are watching and it puts loosely related
items up based on the title in the EPG.</div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div>
- Social. I couldn't find a way to share the items I was looking at or
the experience in anyway (except passing the iPad to my wife).</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
- Seamless. No integration with any video services. </div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
- Stimulating. The app's purpose is an attempt to make the content
experience richer by allowing you to buy relevant items--it just
disappoints in that endeavor.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
- Discovery. I wish I could say it let you discover items to purchase
(not the point of this axis), but it would be faster for your to type in
the title of the show than to change the channel in the app as
currently implemented.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I honestly did not take the time to check for an Android or laptop experience.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
My overall summary (I hope this improves quickly):</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
- Simple. None.</div>
<div>
- Social. None.</div>
<div>
- Seamless. None.</div>
<div>
- Stimulating. Low (a very disappointing low).</div>
<br />
<div>
- Discovery. None.</div>

<b><em>Build positive feedback loops.</em></b><br /><br />A positive feedback loop
is created as a result of a well-executed trade in accordance with your
plan. When you plan a trade and then execute it well, you form a
positive feedback pattern. Success breeds success, which in turn breeds
confidence - especially if the trade is profitable. Even if you take a
small loss but do so in accordance with a planned trade, then you will
be building a positive feedback loop.<br />
<em><b>Focus on your trades and learn to love small losses.</b></em><br />Once
you have funded your account, the most important thing to remember is
that your money is at risk. Therefore, your money should not be needed
for living or to pay bills etc. Consider your trading money as if it
were vacation money. Once the vacation is over your money is spent<br />
<a name='more'></a>. Have
the same attitude toward trading. This will psychologically prepare you
to accept small losses, which is key to managing your risk. By focusing
on your trades and accepting small losses rather than constantly
counting your equity, you will be much more successful. <br /><b> </b><em><b>Calculate your expectancy.</b></em><br />Expectancy is the formula you
use to determine how reliable your system is. You should go back in
time and measure all your trades that were winners versus all your
trades that were losers. Then determine how profitable your winning
trades were versus how much your losing trades lost. </div>

The classic question “Where did you find about us?” is not accurate
and is too demanding (you or your employee to ask and the new customer /
clients to remember and answer you). But you will need to know where
your leads and new clients or customers come to your business.<br />
The online campaigns is known that are easy to be monitored and each
advertising platform offers you solution to monitor your campaign. But
what about offline campaigns such television or radio advertising or
advertising on magazine or brochures? The following ideas can be used
with any kind of advertising media.<br />
A simple and effective way of monitoring the effects of your campaign
is to measure the action taken by your advert audience, action strictly
dedicated to this campaign such as:<br />
<ul>
<li>call a phone number dedicated specifically to that campaign or</li>
<li>even call a certain person which deals only with sales through that campaign</li>
<li>visit a webpage designed specifically to that campaign with no other links within your website <a name='more'></a></li>

</ul>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<ul>
<li>Facebook</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Twitter</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>LinkedIn</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>StumbleUpon</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Google Plus</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Technorati</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Digg</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Blog Engage</li>
</ul>
Devote at least 40 percent of your time to Social Media sharing as
well as Social Media audience building. This will help you achieve
increased website traffic in the shortest possible time. Don’t forget!
Your blog would get more popular quickly as you use Social Media
increasingly to build your website traffic.<br />
<h3>
Post High Quality Content Regularly</h3>
Also, the quality of your blog content will determine how fast you
can increase your website traffic. A blog content that is prone to
success should feature the following vital qualities;<br />
<ul>
<li>Post Quality Content Always</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Embark on regular content posting</li>
</ul>
Your presence will linger on the blogosphere continuously when you
embark on regular posting, which would in turn reward you with quality
search engine linking and increased PRs, while Quality Posting will
guarantee loyal visitors. These visitors will always come again and
again because they’ve found your post useful. These are the visitors
that constitute needful assets for the success of your blog.<br />
<h3>
Do not Allow Alexa & Page Rank Distract Your Attention</h3>
Just like my beginner’s days, a lot of newbie bloggers spend a lot of
time judging their Alexa and Google Page Rank. This does not augur well
with a blogger.<br />
Here are a few things to keep in mind;<br />
<ul>
<li>It is not possible for any blog to generate
Alexa Rank of 1000 nor a Page Rank of 6 within a month. Your focus
should be on Quality content as well as Regularity of Content.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Simply stick to the basics. Avoid acting too smart. Take a sample
from successful blogsand learn from their writing style and presentation
methods. Polish your writing skills as much as possible.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Pay attention to Social Media integration since it is the most reliable secondary way toincrease website traffic.</li>
</ul>
It feels good seeing your blog scoring higher in Alexa Rankings, but
your real need is Traffic and it comes mostly by sticking to the basics.
When you achieve increased traffic, higher Alexa Ranking will follow
automatically.<br />
<h1>
Get Active in the Blogosphere</h1>
This is very important since the Blogosphere is a great spot to
increase website traffic. Become known in the blogosphere with the
following tips;<br />
<ul>
<li>Comment on blogs – pay more attention to the ones with CommentLuv enabled tool.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Retweet the tweets posted by some top ranking bloggers. Subsequently, they would most likely reply to your retweets.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Establish strong presence in all renowned social media websites.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Tweet wide range of valuable articles from varieties of blogs presented “through @BlogOwner” link.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Make effort to contact some of the renowned bloggers personally; this is a great way to learn from their experiences.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Guest post valuable articles.</li>
</ul>
<h1>
Focus on Your Website Theme and Loading Time</h1>
Two great ways you can be sure of increased loyal visitors are blog
design and loading time. Irresistible blog design presentation and
faster loading time would help <b>increase website </b>traffic. Simple and easy-to-navigate design will attract more web visitors to your blog site.<br />
Also, if your page takes only little time to load, visitors will keep coming to read your posts.<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Integrate and Optimize Social Media Sharing Buttons</b></li>
</ul>
This will help you and your visitors to share your posts on Social
Media spots. The most important factor is to place these buttons
correctly and strategically. Consider putting such buttons at the end of
each post. The reader will surely click to share the post if it is
found useful. Another secret is to include an inspirational text just
above the button – something like “If you found this article useful,
share it with your friends…”<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Creating Mailing Lists Help to Build Loyal Readers</b></li>
</ul>
Strong mailing list is closely associated with successful blog, it is
a great way to increase website traffic. Someone who loves your post
would want to get more updates. So, how do you get the person coming
again and again? Simply integrate a user-friendly gadget for Email
subscription. As your mailing list grows, your website traffic also
grows! </div>
